Ployez-Jacquemart is a family champagne house, founded in 1930 by the husband and wife team of Marcel Ployez and Yvonne Jacquemart. The soul of the house, characterized by a continual search for excellence, is now represented by Laurence, third generation of the family, who succeeds her parents Gerard and Claude Ployez. Perpetuating the founding values of the house: Passion, Tradition and Dedication, she has
committed herself to make the most of each harvest and produce great prestige wines. Ployez-Jacquemart Extra Quality Brut, which is the flagship champagne of the House, can be tasted after a minimum aging of 3 years. It was made from a blend of premier and grand crus with a majority of Pinot Noir and Meunier (usually 60% of black grapes from Mailly and Ludes, and 40% of white grapes from Bisseuil, Cuis, Ludes, Puisieulx, Taissy, Grauve or Vertus). Their black grapes provide it with a greater richness, complexity and roundness. As for their entire range, they only use pure cuvées (first presses) and the composition of the blend only rarely uses reserve wines when the harvest does not meet their vintage standards. All these characteristics explain a very good balance, a great freshness of their wines, and very distinct nose and palate. A low dosage of sugar (approximately 5 gr/L only) also gives greater expression to all the flavors
of our Extra Quality Brut.
 
Tasting Notes: Mingling aromas of orange oil and fresh peach with hints of brioche and smoke, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with a tightly
wound core, racy acids and a dry, chalky finish.
